Our frontline teams are on the road for 12-hours at a time, responding to emergencies and stressful situations with commitment and care. Recognising the fast-paced nature of their job, we’ve decided to bring their breaks to them.

Wellbeing Support Vehicles, formerly known as Tea Trucks, travel to hospitals and control rooms across the capital each day to provide much-deserved wellbeing breaks for staff. Donations make it possible for us to stock the vehicles with refreshments for ambulance staff and volunteers as they work incredibly hard in demanding circumstances.

Team LAS staff: “Honestly, the Wellbeing Support Vehicles help morale so much, the littlest things mean such a lot to us as it shows somebody cares. All we have ever wanted is free hot drink at hospital. Thank you so much.”

Launched in February 2020, the Wellbeing Support Vehicles mean ambulance crews who respond directly from patient to patient have a chance to pause for a hot drink and a snack.

Team LAS staff: “The staff in the Wellbeing Support Vehicles were very friendly and very approachable and very needed...just right for all the staff and crews. A big thank-you!”
